Up for sale is a famous bottle. This bottle was the first clear glass bottle at the 1939-1940 New York World\'s Fair. It is in near mint condition - it is missing the cap.
A globe is is in raised glass and circles the bottom of the bottle. There are four \"panels\" areound the globe and a word on each of the panels: New, York, World\'s and Fair. There are also four \"panels\" on the neck of the bottle. On each of the four panels a raised star is found. On two opposite panels two dates are found: 1939 and 1940 -- the two years of the New York World\'s Fair held in Flushing Meadows, New York.
The bottle is approximately 9\" tall and 5\" in diameter at its widest point. At the widest point of the bottle, the circumference is about 15\".
The 1939-1940 New York World\'s Fair was before my time. However, I would have loved to have been there on opening day as Franklin Delano Roosevelt gave the opening address.
The ornament shown in the first photograph are not included.
The shipping costs are included in the final sale price.
Thank you for taking the time to view this neat New York World\'s Fair artifact.
