The heavy forged blade is well shaped. This weapon is done in a very high art form and was not made for the average native for use. The handle is made from carved bovine horn. Theend cap andcollar isiron anddecorated on edges.The knife measures21 1/4\" long, blade alone is 15 3/4\" and is 5/16\" thick at guard and 1 5/16\" wide at widest point. The pommel end has a cap of brass and was used as a washer to secure the blades rat tail end that is hammered over, see photo. Condition: CARVED HILT, AGE CRACK MOTH HOLES, BLADE HAS AGE STAINS AND LIGHT SURFACE RUST, TIP BROKE OFF AND CHIPS TO CUTTING EDGE, WILL CLEAN DOWN NICE, AS SEEN IN PHOTOS, BLADE IS IN NEED OF A GOOD CLEANING.Great blade for the knife maker,And best of all the price is right.
