OLD CAST IRON RAILROAD OR MINE CAR ADVERTISING KELSO KNUCKLE COUPLER PAPERWEIGHT THE McCONWAY & TORLEY CO. PITTSBURGH PA ANTIQUE VINTAGE This cast iron advertising knuckle coupler paperweight would have been the prize of any railroad/mining executive. It is functional. Simply pull up the chain (at top of lever) and pull open the coupler. Allow the lever to drop a bit, then close the coupler (quickly-works most of the time) and the lever (with chain attatched) drops fully back into position. Embossed printing around the top of the circular base reads: THE KELSO COUPLER MANFD. BY THE McCONWAY & TORLEY CO. PITTSBURGH, PA.. The base diameter measures approx: 3 3/8". The coupler stands approx: 5 1/8" tall with chain laying flat. The front to back dimension (closed) is approx: 4 3/16". The paperweight has finish/plating loss, light rust and some wear. A pin (if there was one) at coupler end is not included. It appears in otherwise good condition. It will be well packed (box in a box) and sent Priority Mail.
