It shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back is nicely flamed maple. Fingerboard is ebony. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthiers and by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received a new setup with newly fitted ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new Teller bridge and new strings.These are new silver wound steel core strings, which have a good projection and allow quick finger action. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins, to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. We would recommend higher quality strings of your own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!Excellent antique German master violin in immediate playing condition! Great mature sound - Please see the video & listen to the sound on youtube!Measures aprox.: total 59 cm / 23.2\", body 35,6 cm / 14.1\", vibrating chord length 32 cm / 12.6\", weight 484 gr / ~17.1 oz.
