Here is a Well PreservedOld US Civil War Military Model 1850 Staff & Field Officers Sword Basket Guardfor your consideration. This nicely detailed brass sword accessorymeasures 7 1/8\" long X 3 3/4\" wide.
The rectangle where the blade inserts measures 13/16\" long X 3/16\" wide.
Unmarked that I could see. No cracks to the brass or other damages, other than patina.An excellent guaranteed original replacement sword part for the condition conscious collector!! Buyer to prepay $7 s/h. Best of Luck!

If the estimated shipping cost is in excess of the actual charge with supplies, I will issue you a refund. However, we under estimate the actual shipping charge for the vast majority of the items that we ship.
I guarantee everything I sell unconditionally if you are not satisfied. I do, however, require that the item be returned in no more than 14 days following arrival and be returned in original condition. I also request that you notify me by email within 3 days of receipt of item. I do want you to be satisfied.
In the case of a return, we pay for shipping one way only. All items are from a smoke free environment.
