Custom hand crafted SactoCabs Deluxe Reverb Extension cabinet built with through-Dovetailed Knotty Pine. It has a medium-dark walnut stain and 10 sprayed coats of satin urethane finish. The grille is a Fender-style wheat grille cloth.
This cabinet features a 3/4\" voidless birch marine grade plywood baffle, with 8 stainless steel speaker mounting inserts, and 8 matched stainless steel screws. The pine cabinet is constructed with superior through-dovetails, not the inferior half-blind dovetails offered by many \"unfinished cabinet\" builders.
This cabinet includes the strap handle, 4 rubber feet, a switchcraft input jack, and a custom high quality wiring harness with female spade connectors. It is ready for you to mount your favorite 12\" guitar speaker and rock out within 5 minutes.
Pine cabinets are resonant and earthy sounding, slightly softening harsh amps and providing a really nice vintage tone. They are also much lighter to carry than plywood cabinets.
The cabinet is designed for a Fender Deluxe Reverb to sit perfectly on top... the top dimensions are 23 7/8\" W x 9- 1/8 D. You can also of course use this with your favorite amp head.
This cabinet is an exceptional value on discount because it is a B-stock item with a few very minor flaws. 1) there was a bit of inconsistent sanding on the top left that resulted in a dark/light section when finished - see top left of cabinet in photos. 2) The cabinet is very slightly out of level, which is corrected by the addition of a washer between one of the rubber feet and the cabinet body. 3) The grille cloth, while securely fastened was not pulled quite as taut as it should have been and has one minor pucker at one edge. You could remove and restaple it if it bothers you. These issues are very minor and do not affect the sound quality or functionality of the cabinet but did not meet the stringent SactoCabs quality control standards for an A-stock product.I did mount a speaker and test this cabinet out. It sounded great. I think you will love the cabinet if you purchase it.
