Up for offer is an old original Ithaca Calendar Clock Company spring driven grandfather clock gong with cast iron base, flat steel cathedral gong complete with original wire spacer and mounting screws ready to install on your clock. This cathedral gong will only fit the Ithaca spring driven grandfather clock - NOT the Ithaca weight driven grandfather clocks which used a different style cathedral gong that mounts behind the movement. This spring driven grandfather gong is shown mounted on the bottom right hand corner of the attached copy of page # 296 from Tran Duy Ly’s reference book of “LONGCASE CLOCKS AND STANDING HALL REGULATORS”. This style of cast iron gong base with the flat steel cathedral gong is not currently being reproduced by any clock parts suppliers. If it were being reproduced, the old original ones always sound much better than any reproduction gong from either China or India.I am glad to combine shipping for multiple items when possible. I lived in Ithaca, New York from 1970 until 2002 and collected both Ithaca Calendar and Ithaca Grandfather clocks for over 32 years. A few of my Ithaca Calendar and Grandfather Clocks were featured in Tran Duy Ly\'s reference books of clocks. I have now reached a point in my life where I am thinning out most of my collection and just keeping a few clocks.
