This is an originalWWI US ArmyModel M17Helmet in used but good condition . It is complete with its original liner and chinstrap and is marked:ZB 8on the inner rear rim.There are no legible markings Stamped inside the oilcloth liner.It has all of its original sand texture and atypical US WWI camouflage paint patternwith a37th infantry Division symbolon the front.The 37th.Infantry Division was a national Guard Division from Ohio and nicknamed the \"Buckeye Division\". It was federally activated in August 1917 and sent overseas in June 1918 and fought at the Meuse-Argonne and at Ypres-Lys. It sustained 794 KIA and 4,593 WIA in casualties. I do not know the history of the helmet but the paint looks to have been there a long time. Postage will beas calculated forUSPS Standard Post. Will combine shipment to save on postage.
