A great piece of history.
A good helmet with little rust still strong paint on most of the helmet. all original parts in used condition. The First helmet was produce by the UK and given to the U.S. Army entering WWI in a offer between France and England helmet designs. I guess the U.K. Counter offered free helmets for the US troops sealed a good deal.
Later modified WWI helmets known as Kelly helmets made it to the early part of WWII. It was further used to design the M1 Helmet. You can still see it\'s shape as part of the design of the famed WWII U.S. M1 helmet.
