Here we have a very clean-looking Palomar linearamplifier that I purchased at a local estate sale. It was one of the many veryclean – looking ham radio components being offered. Once I got it home, I realizedthat I heard a ‘rattle’ sound from within the unit before I even tried to use itwith my rig. I carefully removed the front panel screws and slid the base coveroff to find this wire coil completely loose with all four wire ends unsoldered –just floating around in the case? Otherwise it looks perfect inside and out . Noidea why this is and unfortunately there wasn’t anyone I could ask. I have not tested this unit or added power to it due to the loose component.

I’m not qualified to diagnose or repair thisamp so I’m reluctantly listing it for sale As-Is - sold as parts or for repair. It comes with a nice 55” longtwin power lead protected with (2) good removable 30 amp fuses.
