Pickup:- 7 string pickup, which is movable. Closer to the bridge gives a brighter sound, like you might want for country western music. Farther away from the bridge gives a more mellow tone, for jazz, for example. You can slant the pickup one way or the other. You have the option to hone the tone to your liking. You can also use the tone control, of course (You have a built in volume and tone control in the guitar.)
Guitar set up/tear down- Pedals and pedal rods disconnect

Case:- No case is provided, unfortunately (I did not make one.) Most S10 pedal steel guitar cases would work for this guitar
I was motivated to build this design guitar, because I wanted to make a pedal steel guitar that is easy to play. I used to play guitar, but no longer can do so because of arthritis in my fingers. It occurred to me that I could play a lap steel guitar, but it lacks the function I wanted, to play chords, and finger pick. Most pedal steel guitars are tuned either to E9 or C6, and this guitar could be too, but I wanted the open E set up. This guitar tuning is more similar to a lap steel, or some beginner pedal steel 6 string guitars. The 7th string adds a huge amount of flexibility, making two full octaves of a chord. To me it is easier to pick out single string melodies or three string chords, as well. If you play guitar, or, if you play a lap steel guitar, you will have very little learning curve on this pedal steel guitar, in order to sound good. As time progresses you will get better at playing melodies. Of course, so super easy to get the \'country western\' sound with this guitar. But of course you are not limited to this.Constructed of aluminum, the tone is good, the sustain is amazing. Please review all the images carefully. Read my descriptions carefully. Intonation is excellent, I took extreme care to get the measurements correct so it plays in tune. The stops for the raise are accurate, and the guitar stays in tune quite well, very seldom needs to have the stops reset.
