The plans will include 3D images in PDF format and STEP file format which can be viewed using free software allowing you to zoom in and rotate a particular part, which helps with the build process. These plans are NOT for commercial use for example you can not build and sell more than one machine and no resale of the plans (copyright of powerfab)A brochure of this machine can be found build a range of mini excavators from our entry level two wheeled excavator up to the tracked machine similar to the one in this video.The excavators have been designed and developed using our 30 years expertise.
Our modular system allows a customer the option of purchasing a high specification Perkins diesel powered engine (cost several thousand dollars) OR you can buy a 13HP Gasoline engine for around $200! Both will offer a good tearout force and allowHydraulic Power Take Off (HPTO) to operate accessories such as post hole borers, machine mounted breakers and concrete saws.Likewise when it comes to the tracked undercarriage we can provide the specification to move the tracks using the latest final drive hydraulic motor units ($500 each) or we can set the tracked undercarriage with lower cost hydraulic motors. The main difference being the lower cost hydraulic motors protrude more outside the width of the track, this can be overcome with metal skid plates being placed underneath lower cost motors. The rollers on the track base are off the shelf and made to fit our machine $100 each. The front idler again a standard off the shelf item
This excavator arm tucks in superbly and offers great digging depth and dumping height. The boom cylinder is on the top so the boom acts as a guard and stops the hydraulic cylinder (ram) being damaged. This tracked machine not only has 360 degree continuous slew but also has an offset ability for excavating alongside the side of a wall or house. Should you want to save more money you can opt for our 355 degree slew option with or without the 180 offset, this means you will not have to buy the slew ring and distributor(rotary union) saving around $1500
The plans will be sent both by CD and electronically in PDF format and will include detailed CADengineered drawings and assembly instructions with a parts lising of all the main components.Machines are made throughout the world including Europe, America, Australia, Russia, Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Africa and India. We have suppliers in your country.
Simply take our fabrication drawings to a local steel supplier and they will cut the box sections and plate to size.Steel parts are also available if you get stuck and can be collected or delivered from Texas however you can achieve great savings if you know of a local welder
We also supply a list of parts such as hydraulic cylinders and control valve blocks, with links to the items so you can order off line and have delivered to your home. Allowing you to assemble the machine using basic DIY tools. I have made design modifications which amongst other things allows a low cost method of manufacture. Depending upon your build options you will complete this machine for less than 1/3rd the retail price of the equivalent new 360 tracked machines by Bobcat, JCB, Kubota etc. You will also have a lot of fun from making this machine and if you wanted we could work out an agreement for you to go on to make money being our distributor.
