If you have used augers on your skid steer loader in the past, then you should be well versed in what to expect. You will likely start with the basic features that give it the ability to do the job it was originally intended to do. The auger drive should be strong enough to power through the tough, unseen elements below the surface. It should be durable enough to withstand a lot of back-force and it should last you for many years to come.That’s great! The Eterra Skid Steer 2500 can accommodate you for these purposes. But why stop there? Each Eterra unit comes with a standard swivel and mounts that easily attach to our twin rail mount. It also features a standard main hanger, or you can option for the Flip Hitch (top part of the mount shown in the main picture above. This costs extra).This is where our skid steer auger attachment starts to deviate from every other auger on the market and sets us apart from all of our competition. The Flip Hitch allows you to use your auger for a couple of different operations. It has an opposing locking collar that keeps the auger from swinging and allows it to be turned around 180 degrees. Now your Eterra Skid Steer Auger can perform horizontal drilling or you can attach our Cement Mixer Bowl to it and fill your fence post-holes after you dig them. How is that for dynamic?This Eterra Skid Steer Auger also features a planetary drive system that is second to none here in North America. This is a unique design that solved a problem that we have seen with other drive systems over the years: SHAFT PULLOUT. The planetary drive system gearbox is where the shaft attaches to it in the back. The large thrust plate that is part of the shaft is what attaches to it and makes sure it stays on. The thrust plate distributes the weight evenly when it locks the shaft in place, thus ensuring it never falls out.The standard configuration of the Eterra Auger 2500 includes an auger drive, plate and stationary swivel mount. The auger drive is 2,700 ft. lb. with a 2-inch hex drive. This Premium Auger system comes with a universal skid steer mounting plate, standard swivel mount, hoses and flat-faced couplers. The recommended auger bit sizes are 4” – 24”.This dynamic skid steer auger attachment can also be used with our Flip Hitch, our 47 Gallon Cement Mixer Bowl and our Stump Planer. These dynamic features along with the strength, durability and longevity of this auger are what makes it the market leader and sets the standard for all that come after it. Do not use on solid surfaces like concrete or asphalt driveways. For solid surface conditions choose the Rock Augers.Auger Bits: - Cast - Difficult Ground ConditionsAvailable bit sizes - 4\",6\", 9\", 12\", 18\", 24\", 30\" & 36\".4\" augers use a 2\" main tube, 1\" flighting and a caroffere drill point.A note about our auger design. We design based on the toughest criteria and our experience. Many people think that a double flighted auger is better because it will be stronger. We use a single flighted auger and a forged drive head so that the strength issue is not an issue. Our heads wil outlast any auger that has double flighting ending up connecting to their digging teeth. Our flighting design allows the auger to clear faster. Double flighting in a dirt design just clogs and causes the auger to carve the hole out so it will be oversized and jammed up with debris. This results in less productivity and higher costs due to having to put more concrete into the hole because of the larger size. Payment is accepted through PayPal or by calling our toll free service line and giving us your credit card details. All items must be paid for before they ship, we do not ship COD. Please forward us your shipping instructions along with a daytime phone number that our shippers can contact. We cannot ship without a phone number, as there are many instances throughout shipping where the carrier or our team may need to contact you.
Shipping Information
Free Shipping - Skid Steer Solutions is happy to provide our valued customers with free shipping to the lower 48 states. Our paid shipping options to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada have been reduced so purchasing has never been easier and the savings have never been better.
In order to offer these great prices, there have to be some restrictions. They are as follows.
Free Shipping to the Lower 48 Contiguous States only: If you are in a state but on an island or somewhere else that has limited access, you do not qualify for free shipping. Our system will still allow you to enter your order, but we will be contacting you to:
- Adjust your order amount to cover the additional shipping costs.
- Make arrangement to ship to a dock where you can pick the item up on the mainland.
- Cancel the order, as our margins are so slim we cannot afford to ship items to islands.
Free Shipping Methods of Delivery
- Items up to 50 pounds: Most will ship USPS depending on size so please provide us with a valid address for either USPS or FedEx Ground.
- Items from 50 lbs. to 150 pounds: Ship FedEx Ground.
- Items above 150 pounds: Ship ODFL depending on your address.
Free shipping is to a business address or freight depot and is not for home delivery with lift gate services. If you require special services, we will hold your order and get back to you with a quote for these services. Farms and construction sites that require special services will also be quoted and billed separately prior to shipment.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
Canadian Shipments
We will try to use USPS whenever possible to minimize your costs and brokerage charges. If we cannot, we will use UPS because their brokerage is streamlined as opposed to FedEx. Larger shipments will travel with ODFL depending on your address. Base shipping is to a business address or freight depot, it is not for home delivery with lift gate services. If you require special services, we will hold your order and get back to you with a quote for these services. Farms and construction sites that require special services will also be quoted and billed separately prior to shipment.
We Ship Worldwide
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of our items and the shipping options you choose. Please contact us to receive shipping date estimates before purchasing an item.
Returns Policy
If the item is unused and in re-salable condition it may be returned under the Skid Steer Solutions 30-day return policy. Please be aware that the customer is responsible for the original freight fees and return shipping fees regardless of the original freight charge being advertised as free upon purchase. We incur the original shipping cost, however if the item is returned we will deduct the original shipping cost from the amount of the order. Please also note that Skid Steer Solutions charges a 10% restocking fee due to the nature of these products (weight, dimensions, packing material used and etc.). Skid Steer Solutions will deduct these fees from the original amount and then refund the remainder to you.
