This sale is for a 6.25 Inch Saucer in the Radioactive Red color that was made by the Homer Laughlin Company (HLC). This saucer is in great shape with no cracks, chips, or other damage other than some moderate utensil marks in the area surrounding the center well of the saucer. The glaze that gives the saucer it\'s bright orange color contains small amounts of uranium...the result is some leftover radio activity, which measures roughly 23KCPM - 24,000 CPM (Counts Per Minute) of combined Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. This sounds like a high amount but it is actually fairly low level with many items being much more active, and found in nature. This saucer can be used as a regular dish or as a geiger check source to check the proper operations of your geiger counter...or both! Please look carefully at the photos to get a better idea of the true nice shape and condition this old timer is still in...they don\'t make \'em like this anymore!!
