• ITEM DESCRIPTION: Antique 1884 Jewel Railroad lantern kerosene can with 2 visible side glass windows, heavy Glass encased in metal, still has original wood handle, cap and pour spout, dated and stamped with a Star on bottom, 13\" tall to tip of spout and can is 11.5\" x 6.5\", This can can be seen in Patent information listed as Lined Visible Oil Can and has an original patented date September 25, 1883, in fantastic condition for age, extremely rare collector find, glass lining has a small crack near top, see pics, small cap and lid are rusted shut, typical rust and wear from use and age, it appears that the can may have been clear coated to protect the patina at one time, see pics, Below are 15 pictures provided for your review, take a look and Please remember that the item you are buying is not new.
