Pleasenote that same cross/medal prices vary, based on condition, age and appearance.
This antique cross is from my mother’s estate collection (Bertha, the founder of Church Woman Antiques), and it is on sale to benefit severalCarmelite Convents she selected before her death at age 97.
It is 1.5 inches square and was cast from bronze. A smallcatch of these antique crosses was discovered at a Carmelite Convnet in Germany50 years ago, and my mother acquired the entire lot for her private collection.
This medallion is shaped like a Greek cross. On one sideis a picture of the Battle of Lechfeld, 955 AD, above the inscription\'CRUX/S/VDALRICI\' (cross of St. Ulrich), on the other side is St Benedictbetween Saints Ulrich and Afra, with the Trinity above, and the shield of StBenedict below.
The St. Benedict & St. Ulrich cross was considered inthe 18th century very effective against plagues caused by of mice.
Good luck offerding!
