This Curta type II mechanical calculator has serial number 513939 which I estimate was from the early to mid- production of type II units around 1959 or 1960. MINT condition! No scratches. No dings. No signs of wear. Perfect paint. Super clean and dust free. I\'d rate the canister in EX condition as it has a few minor scratches on the top cover.On this unit the crank arm and clearing ring are made from METAL, not the cheaper plastic of later type II units. The operations are crisp and smooth, and I have run several tests to verify that it works correctly. Judging from the lack of wear I\'d guess that this unit was not used much at all and kept in the included metal cylindrical case all these years.
