This is an old strongbox that was just purchased on an estate sale after 2 years of getting everything ready for an sale. The lady was in her 90\'s and her children had no idea she had it hidden away. This would have possibly been inherited from her parents or grandparents.This looks to be in Original Condition but I will not testify to that. I do not see any paint runs and the paint is worn in some places. The design on top is still fairly nice and looks original. The inside is also nice and not roached out like some on . Hinges work well and it is just waiting for the right buyer to use or put on display. Handles are solid and work very well to carry the box. It does have some marks and white spots in a couple of places but I am not going to do anything to it. The photos make it look like it is distorted, but it is the finish that causes the ripple effect. It weighs about 42 lbs and will cost a lot to ship.

I actually liked it so much I thought about keeping it, but I want someone else to enjoy it and the history of such an old item.
