Rare vintage suit, from about 1947-1949, beautiful red wool embellished with extensive bead and soutache trim. You won\'t find another one like this! There are very few examples of this style to be found anywhere, and nearly unheard of to find both and jacket and skirt together, so this is your chance to own a truly rare look. From my research, this suit is probably from the mid to late 1940\'s, and the red/black combination is something I\'ve never seen in one of these evening suits. It truly makes a statement.
There is one hole on the collar that I have shown in the photos, and some tiny pinhead holes in a couple of places on the skirt. The buttons for the jacket closure are included, but not attached, and one button is slightly broken. There are some extremely minor issues and repairs near the bottom of the skirt zipper and at the top of the 7\" back slit. Please see exact measurements below-- this is a slightly larger size than some, the skirt would probably fit size 10 at least. The jacket has enormous thick shoulder pads and so creates a beautiful silhouette, and although is a perfect match for the skirt, will easily accommodate a size 12-14 or even a bit larger. The pockets are unusually shaped, with a curved opening, and the jacket is lined in black satin that is in remarkably good shape for its age. Feel free to message me with any questions. Thanks
