This uniqueMayanArt is pyro engraved on leather. It features the Mayan Calendar and natives (warriors, gods ?)

Frame measures overall approx.22\" X 16\". The leather pyrography area measures approx 15 3/8\" X 9 3/4\"

Pre-owned. The suede leatherismounted on mounting board. There is a little \"bubbling\"in a few areas.It is framed in a heavywooden frame with double mat behind clear glass. Paper backing is applied to thebackalong with wire hanger and protectivebump pads. The paper backing was applied with double sided tape and is coming loose. Will need to be glued down by new owner. There are a few areas on the frame where it is scratched/dinged. They have been touched up with wood finish stain marker. The mat has slight damage on the lower right corner (mostly covered by frame) and a small spot on bottom middle. There are 2 areas on the glass that have spots that wecould not remove - maybe nicks to the glass? Not really noticeable when displayed, but upon close inspection. Please see photos.

Despite the age attributed flaws,It is an awesome piece of Mayan art.

This beautiful depiction of the Mayan Natives and Calendar is readyto hang and display.

The shipping box has been lined with sytrofoam to protect the item. The Styrofoam has a musty smell, but we figured better to use it anyway for protection. If the item picks up the musty smell from the styrofoamit can be aired out once opened.
