Formerly called Endless Cuddles Nursery.A little bit about me: I have been a nurse for almost 30 years but now am a stay at home momma to my special needs son. I’ve been an artist all my life but took an interest in reborn dolls about five years ago when I saw one for the first time on and was quite amazed. I have always loved babies and think that reborning helps capture those special moments we have with babies but which just do not last long nearly long enough. I love how reborn babies are like three-dimensional portraits, capturing those special features and moments in the life of an infant before he or she grows up too fast. I have been actively reborning dolls for a little over three years and am enjoying it immensely. There is great joy in creating these lovely works of art and in seeing how happy their new moms are to receive them. Thank you for looking at my sale!Introducing baby Lola, a sweet brand new baby girl. Lola was reborn by me from the “Lola” kit, by the talented Adrie Stoete, in soft German vinyl. Lola is a long sold out limited edition kit, and she comes with a COA numbered 806 out of 900. She has a “soft spot” (fontanel) on the top of her head to give her realism. She has a slight small shiny spot above her right eyelid, which is barely noticeable.She was born on July 23, 2016, and she is an adorable, cuddly little girl.First, I gave her a warm soapy bath to clean her vinyl, and then I painted her in multiple layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints to give her skin a realistic translucence that mimics that of a real newborn baby with big endearing eyes.Lola has blushing on her face and limbs. I’ve given her delicate mottling and the look of moisture on her mouth, eyes, and in her nose, just like that of a real baby.Her legs are full and chubby,and her arms are ¾ length. Her head can be turned gently from side to side, for posing. Lola has high quality Lauscha German glass eyes in dark green gray. Her light brown eyelashes were hand applied and glued in place. They are very delicate and care should be taken not to touch them or pull on them, as they could break off.Her light-brown hair is hand-painted in several layers for a look of depth and realism, a process that takes many hours to accomplish. Painted hair is wonderful because it does not fall out or lose its style. Her nails are lightly tipped and sealed.I’ve sealed Lola’s skin with Genesis Heat Set Matt Varnish to reduce shine and give her “skin” a bit of protection. Lola’s body was custom made for her by Adrie Stoete in a soft Caucasian flesh-colored doe suede, with a gathered tush for more realism.She wears some larger newborn and 0-3 months size clothing. She comes with a beautiful layette of brand new, high-quality clothing: A pretty floral dress by Laura Ashley of London with matching bloomers; a white cotton bodysuit (Carter’s); a pink body suit that reads “I love mom”, a body suit with leopard print (both Carter’s); a sleeper (Carter’s); socks; two pink headband; a receiving blanket of my choice; and two diapers. Also included are a birth certificate and care instructions. Note: I purchased her floral dress from Zulily and it arrived with a few minor flaws: a small portion of the trimming on the front hem is not sewn on all the way (minor) and her right angel sleeve is sewn slightly smaller than the left.She is free of magnets. Lola’s photos were taken over several days and in different natural lighting, indoor and outdoor. The photos have not been retouched, except to crop and straighten them for best presentation. My camera has her hair looking a little darker than in person in some of the photos due to the lighting. Please note that due to the differences in computer monitors, colors in photos may vary. Please allow time for her many photos to load.My home and nursery are 100% SMOKE-FREE. I always weight my babies with fine glass beads and high quality Polyfill. Sand is never used in my babies. IMPORTANT: My babies are not toys, and they are ideal for adult collectors and mature children over the age of 13. I strive to do my very best with every precious baby I create, to make him or her as realistic and special as possible. Reborning a baby doll is a long and intense process, and what you are purchasing is a unique work of art into which many hours of love and dedication have been poured. No two babies are exactly alike. I do my best to describe my dolls as accurately as possible.
