Up for sale is this fine General Electric electric fan with brass blades, cage and cage supports. Triple signed; with the brass GE emblem on the front of the fan\'s cage, and with brass tag on top of the fan motor, which reads: \"ALTERNATING CURRENT FAN MOTOR - No. 1301121 - Cat 34017 - Type AUU - Form 31 - Volts 110 - Cyc. 60 - Pat Feb 6, 1906 - GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. U.S.A.\" and with another \"GE\" symbol on the back of the fan motor.
Measures 16 inches tall by 15 inches across and 10 inches deep.
This antique electric fan is in excellent running condition, and has been restored. It has a 4 position slide switch in the base showing 3 speeds. All speeds work well, though similar. This is a fixed fan, not an oscillator. The brass blades are in excellent condition with no bends. Excellent black paint. Blades are clean and shiny. The brass cage has no breaks or loss.
These fans were constructed in the early twenties for the ventilation of large rooms and were designed for 24/7 service with only the periodic addition of oil to the fan motor.
S/I/T in the U.S. is estimated at $50.00, due to the fan\'s size and weight, but the winning buyer will be charged actual shipping and insurance charges, either up or down from the estimate.
