This Revox PR-99 Reel to Reel Tape Player Recorder is being sold for Parts or Repair. Cosmetically the Revox PR-99 Reel to Reel Tape Player Recorder is in fair condition for its age with some scuffs, scratches. some adhesive residue from inventory stickers, and the left reel securing knob is slightly bent (but still functional).  I was able to power the unit on. As I was preparing my test tape, smoke started coming from the left hand side of the unit. I immediately powered the Revox PR-99 Reel to Reel Tape Player Recorder off and unplugged the unit. No other testing was done so as to not damage the item. A power cord is NOT included with this purchase (only what you see in pictures). Because I do not know what is causing the Revox PR-99 Reel to Reel Tape Player Recorder to smoke, I am selling it for parts or not working.
