Here is a Royal Model O, serial number 690796 which supposedly puts it as a 1937.
It is in very nice condition. The keys are all good, no cracks or looseness. The enamel is nice and shiney. There are a couple small spots in the back frame that are chipped, perhaps from removing and installing in the case, see photos.
The keys have been cleaned and look great. The action is good. This has the touch control to modify the action.
The case cover is generally good with some loosening of the cover on one side. I do not want to try and glue it back in case I don\'t do it correctly.
I used an air compressor to blow out the dust inside. Its nice and clean. I gently cleaned up areas where there was build up or dirt and/or oil/grease.
The ribbon is not correct. It is too wide and causes the holder to hang up. I see many places where new ribbons are available online. I will let you get the ribbons you desire.
There is a piece of masking tape inside the case on the bottom panel. It appears to be the name/address/phone number of a previous owner. I Googled the name hoping for a famous Seattle author but got no hits. I am leaving the tape on for historical purposes in case you desire to research the name.
Interesting enough, my wife worked for Royal a long long time ago in New York as a very young girl. She was impressed with its condition and tried it out and said it works pretty well. She even found her old typewriter brush and started to clean it.
I am not a typewriter expert and am trying to describe it as best I can. I do know mechanical objects and I can see nor find any mechanical issues at all. I am sure the hanging ribbon holder is just the wrong ribbon. Withouttheribbon, it works fine. I see no corrosion or rust or any other problems with the surfaces.

My price is based on previous sales and conditions. I am bumping the weight up so the shipping price covers insurance. I pack well and have had very few shipping problems but sometimes the carrier does have disasters. I cannot pack for disasters.
