Here I have a very high-end Super 8mm sound projector, the versatile and extremely desired Sankyo 600, regarded by professional as one of the best performing and reliable projectors ever manufactured by Sankyo. This particular unit is in very good condition both mechanically and cosmetically.

The Sankyo 600 is one of the best and most respected projector in the Super 8mm sound market. It runs exceptionally quiet with superb sound reproduction. This projector undoubtedly represents one of the greatest values in sound super-8 movie projectors. Its electronics components ensure carefree operation every time.
All gears are impeccable - I installed a brand new motor belt and projection lamp right after I finished my tests to assure that you receive a projector with zero hours in these two very important consumables. I\'ve checked and double checked everything, no excuses here about not having any film to test. I’ve tested this projector with both, sound and silent movies. It works perfect.
Let me tell you a bit about my testing routine
I test all projectors I sell very thoroughly with and without film; I test without film to check all moving parts one section at a time.
First, I install brand new belts as needed and second, after I finish testing, I install a brand new projection lamp!
My tests with film are very methodical, I have prepared four 10 minutes long reels for my super-8 & single 8mm tests, with and without sound. I run these movies thru the projector looking for any signs of projection problems, if a find anything at this stage, I get it corrected, then I move on to a final projection test, I run one of several 20 minutes special reels I have prepared specifically to give the projector a “real test,” this special reel is approximately 20 minutes long and has a mixture of splices, running from very neat and professional to not so neat and quite unprofessional, including some \"emergency\" tape splices, this is done to see how the machine handles films of different characteristics. Yes, it has to pass this test also before I consider listing the projector.
For the recording test, I use the microphone that comes with the projector, for those that come without a microphone, I have a few microphones around the house and finding one that fits is usually not a problem. I don’t list any sound projector for sale until it has passed a recording test.
In this particular projector, I used a generic microphone to record a bit of narration on some magnetic film I have for this purpose, the playback was not as good as expected so I replaced the sound head and now it\'s very close to factory specification. when I repeated my sound recording test, I received close to 100% level reading on the recording meter and a crisp clear voice on playback, absolutely perfect!
