Schumann Dresden Floral & Gilt Laurel Garlands Reticulated Bowl C. 1946 - 1949Very pretty reticulated porcelain bowl. Nicely decorated in the popular Meissen / Dresden style with pink, yellow and orange flowers in the center. These are framed by floral swags or garlands in pink, dark pink, yellow, blue and orange, which intertwine with gold gilt laurel leaf garlands. Where each floral swag connects there is a gold gilt framed pink rose. With pink, blue, yellow, orange, and purple flowers and gold gilding throughout the reticulation. There is double gold gilding along the inner rim of the bowl and gold gilt dots and scrollwork designs framing the center of t he bowl. There are four small flowers on the outside of the bowl. Marked on the reverse with a crown over a shield with a lion on it and Schumann Bavaria Germany US Zone underneath. This mark was used by Carl Schumann between 1946 and 1949. Very minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The bowl measures 7 1/2\" wide x 2 1/8\" tall. Vintage and antique items may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.
