New SEInternational RAP47 LEG Gamma Detector Probe with instruction manual. 1\" X.04\" (24.4mm X 1mm) CsI(Tl) crystal with thin entrance window. Responds toa very wide range of gamma energy and hard Betas, but responds especially well toLow Energy Gammas and X-Rays. A thin entrance window allows very low energy gammarays to enter (8keV- 1000 keV). Manufactured with a High Quality Hamamatsu R268PMT with 120MegOhms dynode string.
Compatible with most Survey Meters with single cable input and adjustable HV. Will run at a wide range of voltages (from 600v to 1100v), and is shown running at 900 volts on a Ludlum Model 18 Meter (see pictures). The meter was tested on my Ludlum Model 500 Calibrator for accuracy. Besides background counts, the detector is shown detecting a small Cs137 sample, a Low Energy Gamma Sample, and a Thorite mineral sample. As designed, the detector highly favors the Low Energy Source, but detects other sources quite well also.
The RAP 47 shipsby default with a MHV connector. Upon request, I can change the connector outto a BNC or a Ludlum style C connector for a small charge. Just let me know with afollow-up email immediately following your purchase (because I ship very fast).
