Shopsmith 11\" Band SawModel 505641 with 3 Blades & Manual
This listing is for aShopsmith 11\" Band Saw Model 505641, as shown in thephotos. It includes a good used 3/8\" blade installed and two new blades -- Shopsmith 1/4\" & Olsen 1/8\", and a photocopied Shopsmith quick-start 12 pagemanual as well as a CD with the comprehensive 44 page manual and other information in PDF format. The serial number is 107314.
This unit is in good condition with just a small chip out of the left hand bottom of the front plastic housing as shown in the last photo; the tires arewill need replacing but I left that for you to do because of philosophical differences on replacing with original black or newer urethane style.
I replaced all three bearings that the blade runs against -- quality 10mm wide upgrades (WC87037) for the upper and lower blade support, and two deep groove 7mm bearings side-by-side at the blade tension adjusting point.
I replaced the two needle bearings on the upper wheel with high quality USA made bearings ... owners seem to forget that they need to be lubricated occasionally.
It was missing the removable table insert so I made one out of 1/4\" aluminum plate ... new is still available from Shopsmith if this doesn\'t meet your needs.
