U.S. Model 1812 socket bayonet. The 15-1/2 inch blade had a short, 6-1/2 inch fuller. Shank is notably thick. It is unmarked, so was probably for a state purchase, militia musket. Overall a deep brown color, with some slight rust bumps on the socket. Please ask any questions by email before offerding.
