This hunting knife is as sturdy as any you\'ll ever find and is perfect for skinning with it\'s heavy carbon steel serrated blade. The blade is marked \"RIPPLE-EDGE,\" on one side of blade, with \"Ideal Products, Inc., Made in Germany, SOLINGEN,\" on the other. It dates to the 1960\'s and was owned by my step-father. The handle is dark and nicely grained and held in place by three brass rivets and extremely comfortable when held. I\'m not sure if the sheath is original or not. The blade measures 4.25\" long and 1/8\" thick (knife is 8.25\" overall).
