Sony STR-DA5ES Dolby Digital Surround Receiver - UsedUnit has been tested for basic surround sound functions and seems to work just fine. The unit is listed as having 110 Watts per channel into an 8 ohm load, 20-20,000 Hz with 0.09% THD. These are the specs from the owner\'s manual that is available in pdf format at Sony\'s support website. For a complete listing of features and specifications go to Sony\'s web site. I was going to include the actual link to a pdf of the owner\'s manual but apparently that against \'s policy. So if you open a new tab in your web browser and search for STRDA5ES go to Sony\'s eSupport web site and follow the prompts. There are just too many features on the unit to list them all here.This is an older Dolby Digital Surround Decoder but is quite nice. If your looking for the \"Latest and Greatest\" in Dolby Digital surround technology this is NOT the receiver for you. However, if you are looking for a good deal on a fine surround receiver this should fit the bill. One indication of a good amplifier is its weight and this unit does not disappoint coming in at ~46 lbs.This does NOT have HDMI switching. It uses Component video and/or composite video switching. It does have a LOT of digital audio inputs however.One nice feature also is that it does have output for a 2nd & 3rd Zone/Room. Has a powered 3rd zone/room available and also output for a 2nd zone/room via an external amplifier (not included). The 2nd remote control is specifically for operating the 2nd & 3rd Zones. It is an IR remote though so it is \"line of sight\", NOT RF, so it will not operate through walls. You would have to install an IR repeater with IR eye and transmitters to operate the 2nd or 3rd zones from the main room.As I stated in the \"Condition Description\" above, the remotes included are NOT the original remote controls but very similar to the original remotes and will work the \"basic functions\" of the receiver.Also, I have no Owner\'s Manual but is available online at Sony\'s web site.This unit is being SOLD AS IS, so if you have a question please ask before offerding.Shipping only to the contiguous United States.No returns.
