Iwas able to buy a bag full ofSteinbach nutcrackers from a guy whose grandmother had collected them. I will be listing them all separately as I can get to them. This lady bought them for many many yearsfrom a local jeweler who opened a Christmas store in our area.I couldn\'t afford tobuy any more of them. She hadoriginal boxes for some, plain boxes for others. I will ship the boxes in other boxes (double boxing) but, while that will insure safety, it will increase the shipping costs somewhat. Iwas unfamiliar with the Steinbach nutcrackers until I bought these. They are beautiful workmanship. Some of these nutcrackers have issues, others areas I found them in a catalog online.I will note any differences or flaws I see. The starting prices willreflect any of the missing pieces, broken pieces or other flaws I find. I think you can order new Steinbach boxes and replacement parts from the Steinbach factory or from other online sources. Most of the nutcrackers I have are marked WEST German. I don\'t think any of them are \"signed\", though all are marked on the bottom with the Steinbach logo. I will note if there is one that is signed. All are \"full-sized\" nutcrackers.

This nutcracker is #704, the Old Fisherman. It is 14\" tall. I don\'t know when it was retired. It is in great condition, with the original tag, and box. The box isn\'t in the best condition, having been written on with pen and markers and has been taped time and again. The original price of $97.50 is on the end of the box, which will be reflected in the starting price.

Now for the lectures and other icky stuff: Some abusers--hot heads, trigger fingers, and just plain pot-stirring meanies-- have made it necessary that disclaimers and explanations be longer and more laborious than would otherwise be necessary, but please read them. I do NOT accept returns! Please email with ??? or to ask for additional photos. Please allow time for this process. I try to check email several times in the course of a day, but I can\'t send more pictures or answer questions 30 seconds before an sale ends!! Please allow enough time for reaction and action. I want happy buyers but, I reiterate-- I cannot accept returns. I try my best to describe an item fully, but I get lots of items in a month, both for and for my shop, and I am not an expert on anything I sell, just an expediter. If you need additional info to make a good buying decision, ask BEFORE you offer!! Some ers think these conditions do not apply to them, and they want me to pay for return shipping and/or make exceptions, with no accountability on their part. ASK!! for more photos if you need to see something that isn\'t shown in any of the photos. While I am not a professional photographer either, I will do my best to get you some pics of what you need to see, but again, please do it in time for me to get you the information. This usually means at least 4 hours before the end of an sale. Shipping costs are high and no one likes them, but they are what they are. I could offer free shipping, but would have to increase the starting offer to cover what I would estimate to be the shipping costs and since I am not in this for philanthropy, I would have to guess high. It is just cleaner to charge for shipping. While I do combine shipping, there won\'t be the huge savings as some seem to think, but I will do my best. charges me a final value fee, not only for the item, but for the postage, too, so it would be ridiculous to gouge on postage charges! I don\'t routinely do UPS but I will, but for large and/or heavy pieces.
