This makes for a dense heavy wood and it makes for a striker that is a little on the heavy side. As with most wood strikers weather, humidity and moisture will affect the sound quality.Keep the striker tip sanded and alsokeepthe surface of your call clean and conditioned.This striker is73/4inches long11/16 inch at the top and3/8 inch at the tip.
