Very pretty, sweet, and lovely vintage 1930\'s cotton rib lingerie tank-top with lace butterflies and ribbon woven trim. It\'s an absolutely fantastic top that has a great deal of stretch and will fit a range of sizes. I\'m a small chested size 0 and the shoulder straps are too long for my small frame. If I had a larger chest it would great but I\'m an A cup. The straps can be taken in at the attachment point to the body if desired. The length suggests a full under-garment, like a tube dress and due to the small group of 3 holes at the back bottom, shown in the last picture, I would simply re-hem the garment. I was planning on shortening the top anyway for an easier wear with skirts or jeans. I did hand wash the top to see how well the rib would shrink down after wear and it does still have all it\'s stretch and with a simply water soak shrinks back down to a size 0 but can stretch up to an approx. size 8 or larger. There are two small holes at the left arm hole area and 1 tiny pinhole within the front silk placket next to the bottom butterfly. All issues mentioned are shown in the last three pictures. The lace trim that details the circumference of the top is in perfect condition with a ribbon woven through for size adjustment and hand crocheted in the most frilly feminine design. It adds such a beautiful flattering outline to the neckline and cleavage. There are no stains and the little issues the top has can be remedied with a simple re-hemming and mend. I\'ve dealt with a great deal of vintage lingerie but never some across such an unique piece that incorporated fine silk and lace with a rib tank top at thigh length. It\'s not a contemporary re-constructed piece either, the rib I believe is a silk/cotton blend in it\'s original color and the crochet it\'s expertly woven. The front plaquette\'s base is a fine light pink silk and the butterflies hand sewn on top a custom lace. It\'s an authentic 100% original piece that I find very special and rare. It\'s been difficult to part with such a wonderful unique piece and I hope it will be used as a sample for reproduction as I\'d kill to purchase it in my size!! lol Please note the measurements below and feel free to contact me for any further details.
