The Delineator Magazine July 1915, page 16: “Tiny in TinyTown” Fire Scene Cut-outs

Design by Julia Greene

This is a complete page(16) from the Delineator Magazine for July 1915. The designer intended for the reader to cutout various fire department figures and fire station “Goodwill Hose Company No.1” for a little girl named “Tiny”.Future magazine issues would have other town structures and adventuresfor Tiny. The idea was to collect allthe scenes to make a complete “TinyTown”.The following direction are taken from this page, you may also be ableto read them from the pictures.

Directions: To make the characters, engine, horses, etc.stand, bend back name base, and paste paper prop at back. Cut slit on dotted line in front offire-engine and join the horses to the engine by inserting the black flap inthe slit. Use black thread for reins, passing the thread through the harness ring on the horse’s back, and tying itaround the driver’s hands. After cutting out the engine- house, paste red paperon the back of the hose-tower, where it projects above the roof. Cut the doors on dotted lines, then bend thecorners and roof on dotted lines, and join together by inserting the flaps inthe slits, as directed in the drawing.Next moth you will hear what Tiny did at school. Future issues provided more of Tiny’s adventuresin TinyTown!
