The SD 570 is an unusual four-cylinder radial engine that is very compact and light weight at only 19kg (42lb). The engine features singlecapacitor discharge ignition, a single Bing 49 diaphragm-type carburetor and rotary valve induction. It is currently offered without a reduction drive, although when Zanzottera built it an optional 1.75:1 cog belt reduction drive was available. Starting is electric starter only and arecoil starteris not an option.[1][2][3]
Earlier versions produced 28hp (21kW) at 4200rpm with a slide-type carburetor and reduction drive. The current version is rated at 24hp (18kW) at 4200rpm.Time between overhaulis rated as 300 hours.[1][2][3]

I am selling this engine \"as is\". Buyer is responsible for shipping, which should be around $300 additional
This engine came with my Q-1 Quickie Aircraft when I purchased it in July. The engine was put on the aircraft about 3 years ago, but has zero hours on it per the aircrafts previous owner. The aircraft was always hangared. I am replacing the engine with a 4 stroke 65 hp engine. This engine develops 28hp at 4200 rpm and is a 2 stroke. I was told the engine has \"0\" time. The serial number is SD 83 70. I was told that means the engine was manufactured in 1983 and was the 70th manufactured that year. I am selling it \"as is\". It has some surface rust on the exhaust collector. it comes with a muffler.
