However, i try to mitigate food & smoke odors by opening the house to create a cross breeze when the weather allows and i have two high-quality air purifiers (& a smaller one) in the main part of the house and i keep them running nearly all of the time, also often i just go outside to smoke or i\'ll stand at the oven with the exhaust fan on & it sucks all of the smoke up & sends it outside through the roof.
Additionally, nearly everything that can fit into a container is stored in one. Some of the bulkier items are stored in cardboard moving boxes but everything else i keep stored in bags and then packed inside of plastic storage bins.
(Tip about air purifiers, especially for collectors who have things displayed, these machines really help keep your dusting time down as the pull particles from the room into the filters. The outer or pre charcoal filter grabs the larger particles like odors & dust, and the inner HEPA filter collects the smaller ones like allergins)

The sooner you pay the sooner i ship and the quicker you receive your package.
Sometimes, i ship the next day, but often, whenever i can,i shipthe same day the payment\'s received.
As soon as i receive a payment from someone i like to get their package in the system & on the way to them just as soon as physically possible,
My regular postman usually makes his rounds here in the afternoon between2-4 central time, so as long as i can get the label on the package and handed off to him then i make that a priority to do so. The substitute postal-drivers come at various random times.

Combined Shipping ISAvailable and it definitelysaves on delivery expenses when you can use that feature in your shopping. The Combined Shipping Methods that i currently use are done manually and since i generally list items as Buy It Now instead of as sales, there are two main ways that i\'m aware of to do this, the First way is By Far Most Preferable, however, there are reasons that people may use the Second method.

Tracking is part of what ups the cost of delivery, however, it\'s very handy for the buyer and seller both.
It provides the buyer close to the real-time location of your packages along the delivery route, it holds the carriers accountable for packages and for the seller it provides proof of when the package was shipped & that it was delivered.

Since Shipping Rates seem kind of high to me iutilize the to keep the shipping costs as low as i can on my end, i like to utilize 1st Class Shipping when possible (weight has to be 13 oz or less) it is pretty much as fast as Priority Shipping but they charge less since the weight is so light. (the minimum cost is usually somewhere around $3.00)
I also try to use Media Mail when possible for books & magazines and similar items, it too keeps the cost a bit lower than the Priority Shipping, and both 1st Class & Media Mail include Tracking.
Anything that weighs over 13 ounces, slightly less than a pound, has to be shipped using either Parcel or Priority, both include Tracking but Priority is Faster & usually Cheaper, unless the packageisHeavy or Bulky, in that case, the Parcel Shipping is more Economical.
Another Techniquei\'ve learned to do to keep down shipping costs is to alter or to build or rebuild a box.
The measurements or dimensions of a package matter to the carrier service as much as the weight of the package, so sometimes you have to get razors, scissors & tape and get creative in order to make the box(es) fit the item in the appropriate way. i don\'t add a handling fee when i need to do this, i do it to keep the shipping cost down for the buyer and to make my overall costmore competitive.Back to Tracking again, please keep in mind that people will steal packages off of other\'s porches (you can see videos online of people doing this, sometimes it\'s strangers cruizing streets w/this in mind & sometimes it\'s peoples\' neighbors) so the Tracking can help inform you of the approximate day & time to be expecting a delivery so someone can retrieve your package so it\'s not sitting unattended and vulnerable for too long of a time.
Please note that if needed you can ask your carrier to place your packages in a certain place, like on your back porch instead of the front porch.
