TORPADO Italian racing bicycle. 1986-87. 56cm c to c, says 56 on frame. Campy/DuraAce mixed gruppo, see below. 14-speed. Excellent condition, low miles, never wrecked. Beautiful blue, white, silver color coordination. Will definitely turn heads.
Frame: Columbus SLX throughout, chromed forks andchainstay. With cutouts, embosses, and through the tube cable routing. This is Torpado\'s top-end bike of that era--or any era, built to compete with Tommasini, De Rosa, etc., which it does pretty well. Original paint and decals. Columbus decal on downtube is starting to disintegrate, but I have not replaced it, to prove this is SLX. You can replace it if you like.Fork decals still look good.Very minor nicks, no dings or dents or scrapes. Top tube decals (Campy/DuraAce) were put on by me in 1987 and have been there all along. They are not hiding damage, but due to the age of the bike, they probably have ghostsunder them. If you remove them, you will probablyhave to replace them with something you like better or live with the ghosts.
Crank, BB, seatpost: Campagnolo super record. 1987 anniversary issue, without fluting oncrank arms. 52/42, 172.5. Pedals: Shimano 600 Campagnolo, unknown, either C-record or chorus, I don\'t remember. Reardérailleur: Shimano DuraAce, with blue Carmichael drilled alloy pulleys.Shifters: DuraAceHeadset: DuraAceWheels: DuraAce hubs, Velocityaerohead rims 700c, 32 spokes, clincher tires. 13-23 7-speed cassette. Brakes: DuraAce. White hoods are after-market, probably Dia-Compe. Original brake pads barely worn, which shows how little this was ridden. Saddle: very rare white Sella Italiaflite titanium, minor leg rub on right side, no rips. Cinelli handlebars and stem. Aero stem with hidden bolt, 100mm. Giro D\'Italia, 64-42. Yellow Campagnolo metal bar-end plugs.White Silcaframe-fit pump, still works.Vintage water bottle with cork top included if you want it. All questions answered promptly. No international shipping.
