TURN TEPLITZ AMPHORA VASE OR POTTERY VESSEL - ART NOUVEAU PERIOD - PAUL DASCHEL:
$79.00

This listing is for a beautiful piece of art nouveau pottery from Amphora - Turn Teplitz in Austria. It is marked with the R St K mark and, on the back, has embossed initials PD for Paul Daschel. On the bottom it also has the embossed Amphora mark. The piece is a lovely peachy tan color with some pretty pink, violet and purple flowers (almost pansy-like) and green leaves - with raised gold embellishments around the design. On the back is a softly-colored pink flower design with light green trim - in keeping with the art nouveau tendency to work nature into design. The top edge of the piece also has a raised floral and vine-type image. The piece is almost 8 1/2 inches in height and it has a wonderful feel. While there is probably slight wear to the gold trim on the handles, the piece has no chips, cracks, repairs, or noticeable damage. It is a very special piece.
