Ultra Rare Circa 1898 Meilink Personal Safe with Original Shipping Crate. This is a truly unique find. In 30 years this is the only example of a shipping crate I have seen that was not in a photo. The safe is a standard Meilink personal safe with a working key lock door with key. The safe retains all of its original graphics. Safe dimensions are 16\"H x 9\"W x 8 1/2\"D. Weight is approx. 70 lbs. The 120 year old crate was completely restored and looks beautiful. If you look inside the crate with the safe removed you can see the four indentations in the wood floor which the sheer weight of the safe over 120 years has caused. It must have spent most of its life in the crate. Crate dimensions are 18\"H x 13\"W x 12\"D. Weight of the crate alone is approx. 8 lbs. The crate also has a key lock door with key.
