Very nice exemple of two unused underwater cameras created in 1965 by JL DEFUANS, french inventor. Two different versions (black and yellow), serial numbers 7931 (black AQUAMATIC) and 7406 ( yellow FORMAPLEX). They were manufactured between 1965 to 1975.The both samples have the additional lens and use the film format 126 (28mmx28mm). J.L. DEFUANS has first manufactured the yellow cameras under the trade name FORMAPLEX then, on the request of SPIROTECHNIQUE, he has modified the name as AQUAMATIC to respect the Spirotechnique request.
