One more item from the WW II collection: This knife was labeled as: \"WW II era USMC Medical Bolo, Chatillon NY\". This is a very heavy duty knife. It weighs 2.5 Lbs out of the scabbard and if a doctor was approaching a patient with this monster, I guess he would not need anesthesia, since anybody would just faint out of respect. It has great patina and was not refinished or sharpened. As you can see on the pictures, there is superficial pitting on different areas of the blade. The leather (I guess pig skin) scabbard is in very good condition. All stitching is perfect and all brass parts and rivets are intact. The wood handle shows signs of wear but have the correspondent patina.Please ask questions before offerding and I will be happy to answer or add pictures of desired details.
