This old tinsmiths\' blowhorn stake is in very nice shape! Nothing is bent or abused. There are no cracks or problems. The work surfaces of the horn and tapered clyinder are very smooth overall, just some very light dings from use. The tapered cylinder portion has an unusual groove I haven\'t seen before. If that isn\'t original it\'s a very old modification. It looks like it could have been made that way. It\'s clearlyold andhigh quality. I think you will be very impressed with it. It weighs 12 and 1/2 pounds. It\'s 21\" long across the top. The main post measures 1 1/2\" x 1 1/2\"where it would sit flush in a bench plate. I didn\'t find a makers mark.The makers mark is probably just obscured beneath it\'s patina. The markings canbe difficult to find and uncover but I did manage to find makers marks on a number of the other tinsmith tools I\'ll be listing. I got them all out the same collection including some really nice blacksmith tools.
