Up for sale is one of the most sought after vintage kids bikes ever made. This is a all original 1930s kids Speed-O-Byke Bike was originally designed by George Lewis after he left Mead cycles. The very first 1932 Speed-O-Bykes were made by Presto. After that Speed-O-Bykes were made by Metal Specialties. Bikes of the 1930s had brass head badges and ones from the 1940s had aluminum head badges. That makes this bike an earlier 1930s model. This bike came from a San Pedro, CA., estate and belonged to Marjorie Michaels. She won it when she was a little girl at a talent show at the Warner Grand in San Pedro, CA. dancing the Hula. Unfortunately, I don\'t know the year but must have been early 1930s. It stayed in the family at the same estate and was passed on down to her daughter Stacey. Bad news someone thought it would be a good idea to repaint this bike probably in the 1960s or 70s. Although it might helped keeping this bike from rusting. Good news as far as I can tell this bike is completely original and in good shape with no serious dents or dings. I believe the only things missing are the tool kit and and handle grips. Front tire is a little deformed and doesn\'t hold air. Even has original rear reflector. This bike would be an easy restore, if you want since all parts are in good condition.<P>
