Own this unique part of military history made from a 1945 brass artillery shell.
This is a large and very heavy ashtray that is approximately 5-3/4 inches in diameter on the top and the bottom 4-3/4 inches in diameter and is approximately 2-1/4 inches tall. It weighs approximately 3 pounds 5 ounces.
The ashtray is engraved with the following information,
\"VIET NAM JAPAN\"\"PHILIPPINES\"\"FEB 71 - MAY 72\"\"SONIA SIMS\"
Some of the legible markings on the base are\"KN- 5H- 80\"LOT ISD 468\"\"1945\"\"MM14\"
There is other text on the bottom but it\'s too hard to read.
