This is a neat 1919 Martin 0-18, serial # 13836. I believe this guitar likely had some work done to it in the 1930\'s or 1940\'s as the pickguard and bridge wouldn\'t have been seen on this guitar originally but they do look like Martin material.
I believe the guitar has been oversprayed lightly also. The top has a few tight cracks on far the edge of the bass side. The sides have a number of small, tight cracks also. The back has a V shaped crack down near the bottom edge (see picture) and there are a few other back cracks further up the center seam. The action is to high to play comfortably all the way down the neck (5/32\" inches at the low E 12th) but it plays fine up on frets 1-5. The bridge has a crack running through the pinholes. The neck is straight.
With all that being said I have had a good time playing this in some open tunings. It currently has silk & steel strings and it has a pretty strong sound for a small body guitar. I believe the tuners are original to the guitar.
The guitar comes with the original chipcase but the hinges have come removed so the top lid is loose. Please ask any questions. North Carolina residents must pay 6.75% sales tax.
