Up for sale is a 1920\'s WORKRITESIX TUBE BATTERY SET RADIO in AS FOUND condition. This radio wasmanufactured by the Workrite Mfg Co in Cleveland, Ohio. The cabinet show normalsigns of age and wear: some light surface scratches, some dents & dinksaround the edges, and one scratch that has penetrated the wood about 2"long on the top. One of its rubber feet is missing on the bottom. A solidcabinet with its original finish. The black bakelite panel has no chips, cracksor breaks and it still has a nice shine to it. The bakelite knobs are inexcellent condition and all the white lettering on them is bright and easilyread. They all turn freely. As you can see in the photos, the chassis has hadall the tube sockets, but one, removed and that one needs to be re-glued as itis broken at one of the mounting screws. Four of the other five are in excellentcondition. The one has already been glued and nicely done - very solid. Iimagine this is supposed to have a transformer and if so, it is missing.Needless to say, you are buying this electronically AS IS as I cannot test it.This set measures approx. 26" long, 10 1/2" deep and 8 1/2" tall.Even if you don\'t repair the inside, it would make a nice display.
