Offered is this very rare and collectible Buescher True Tone trumpet made in 1922. It comes with case and a 6B mouthpiece. This silver trumpet is beautifully engraved and has a gold washed bell. An evaluation by a professional instrument repair expert shows that the lead pipe has a small crack two inches from the mouthpiece receiver, the tuning slide is stuck, the spring for the water valve is broken and thefinger hookis missing on the lead pipe. Otherwise there is some silver finish loss around the valve casings where it has been held for play. The silver finish shines brightly on 95% of the horn. It has good valve action and all the other valve slides move easily. It sounds good too, exactly what you would have heard in a roaring 20\'s speak easy.
The engraving on the bell reads \"Buescher Elkhart\".The 2nd valve is stamped with the True Tone triangular logo, a patent date of Oct. 29, 1907, an \"A\" and 10-22.
Aside from two latch closures missing, the original Buescher case is in outstanding condition. The middle latch works fine and the handle is intact. No cuts or tears to the black fabric covering. The green crushed velvet interior shows its age, but overall in great shape for being 93 years old. Please use the enlarge feature on the picsin order to evaluate it in more detail. Thank you.
