I should start off by stating that I did not properly seat the front grill when taking the pictures as seen in pic # 5. I didn\'t even realize it until after the photos were taken. There is no gap between the front grill and bod. It\'s actually perfectly flush now but was not pushed on properly before I took the photo\'s.

You are looking at a 1940\'s era Turner CX microphone with classic, clean lines and heavy deco influence. As seen in the pictures provided this mic has a nicesatin chrome finishhaving a minimum ofcorrosion or scratches. The extreme close up shots show more than you would ever see form even a couple feet away. I can assure you it will look far better in person. The original black screen is in perfect condition. The Turner badge is still very legible and sits firmly in place. Both threads for the cable and stand are in perfect condition.

Yes, it works and sounds nice. Ithas a newer upgradeelement as seen in the pictures provided as the original crystal element was shot. The newer element is unbelievably strong and set for high Z.When you cup your hands around it like youwould with a harmonica it\'s loud, clear and raspy.This Turner microphone originally came in 4 different variants. The base model BX and BD were both painted and utilized different elements (crystal & dynamic). The CX and CD were both satin chrome finish and the more expensive mics.

This would be absolutely ideal for every day use and will last for decades to come. The element is held in place with hardened foam and just a dab of glue. it can be removed if needed but won\'t come loose while in use. mic takes a 5/8 thread Amphenol style cable which is not included.
