You are looking at anElectro Voice model 911 microphone with period Atlas MS-12C floor stand. This unique, elegant and timelessdesign came right from Buchanan, Michigan during the 1950\'s and has a look all it\'s own with it\'s clean lines, pleasing lines and curves.
This 911 utilizesthe crystal element. This mic has been thoroughly cleaned and tested. Sadly, it does not workbut it\'slike most 911 crystal elements from 60 + years ago and is either on the weaker side or doesn\'t work at all but there is plenty of room in these mics to upgrade if so desired for a high quality sound. This mic has it\'s original element too.
As seen in the pics provided...the polished chrome finish has a nice luster though showing typical wear in the form of small pitting and lite scratches. Let the pictures be your guide. I try to provide the most detailed, up close photos available so you know exactly what you are getting and no buyers remorse so common with these older mics.The joint mechanism holds strong and the switch mechanism works just as it should. The stainless steel mesh screen looks beautiful with zero wear. Threads for the cable and stand are perfect.

A nice and somewhat rare 1950\'s era Atlas microphone floor stand (model MS-12C) that has a cast iron (10 inch wide) two tier waterfall base. Made in Brooklyn, NY.
The original chrome upper and lower stems shows typical small wearas seen in the pics provided. The original Atlas logo is no longer present.The original paint looks good with just minor scuffs and scratches. The bottom of the base shows lite rust stains.The action clutch that holds thetwo stems in place is adjustable from 35 incheslow to 65 inches tall and works perfectly.
Total weight is 11 pounds.
Overall this stand is a very conservative 7 on a scale of 1 - 10. The thread is universal so any mic will fit on this stand. As with all my vintage microphones and stands...
